If you want a band (yours or otherwise) listed here, feel free to email me with a brief description of your band and I will add you pronto.
    • The Advantage - Some guys from Ent and Hella join up to faithfully recreate the video game soundtrack we all grew up with.

    • The Bananas - One of the best bands in Sac if you like punk rock that doesn't shop at the mall.

    • Boy Tiger - Boy Tiger is a strident, minimalist indie girl-pop duo based in Chico.

    • Brilliant Red Lights - Non-fiction proto-post-punk trio from Davis.

    • Chachi Jones - Software-generated IDM in the vein of Aphex Twin and Autechre.

    • Compassion in Action - Bleepy, dancey post-punk rhythms from Davis, CA.

    • Corpse Fucks Corpse - Perhaps the most notoriously named band in Utah. Chaotic, arty rock music that goes a step beyond hardcore.

    • The Danny Offer Sensitive Solo Project - This boy has lived and loved and now he wants to tell you about it. Funny, catchy, charming acoustic pop songs.

    • Delayed Sleep - Swirling clouds of feedback and guitar tones with spatters of percussion that blend into the atmosphere.

    • Electro Group (Omnibus Records) - Propulsive drums and waves of distorted guitar and bass playing mangled pop songs with vocals that just float over the top of it all.

    • Estereo - Estereo uses clean-toned guitar, a sultry organ, minimal drums and boy/girl harmonies to re-create stories of desire, loss, and the growing collective hatred of Creed-clones.

    • The Feeling - Pop songs that go beyond the same three chords with a hint of the jammy Velvets in them.

    • FM Knives (Moo-La-La Records) - Catchy rock music influenced by late 70's punk rock.

    • The Forces of Evil - TFoE is a mixture of post-post-post punk/rock/metal and some pure evil.

    • Get Get Go - GET GET GO bring the teeny-boppin hard pain care of 200 mph snot-nosed skreech. Screamy hardcore fueled by some of the best drum beats you'll ever want to hear.

    • Gift of Goats - Feedback, chatter and hiss matched with samplers, random percussion, and a chaotic live show. Hardcore fueled by ubertension and super-volumes of beer and most importantly, Jim Beam.

    • Gusto - Tasty indie rock duo. Guy plays guitar and sings, girl drives the songs into your head with her drums.

    • Hella (5 Rue Christine Records) - Brutal prog? Math rock? I don't know if Hella fits into any category. Thunderous drumbeats combined with snaky, melodic guitar lines.

    • Jihad - Jihad creates terrifying but sometimes danceable experimental/noise/drum & bass/nightmare music.

    • Klondike and York - Sax and drums endless energy free jazz duo.

    • The List - Post-emo indie rock from Davis, CA.

    • No Kill I - The world's most dangerous Star Trek band.

    • Park Avenue Music (Devil in the Woods) - Tall guy lays down trippy, spacy electronic beats. Not-as-tall girl fills it out with lush vocals and keyboard.

    • Pipedown - Very good, creative, political hardcore.

    • Porch - This band's actually from SF but they play here alot: Neurosis on speed on a sunny day, the Laughing Hyenas after being certified insane, the Jesus Lizard on a monster of a glue trip.

    • Sexy Prison - Ugly punk rock fist meets pretty electroclash face. How else could two people dance that way?

    • The Sores - God, what can happen when you give the drummer fron Ni Fi Nife Fight a guitar and a microphone that's likely to electrocute him? Rock n' roll stripped down to it's most primal elements.

    • The Tally Band - Noise-core terrorists.

    • The Tangles - Two women and a man doing sounds of wrecked trains and love and staggering fist fights.

    • UBERKUNST - 12 person noise/rock ensemble, free-form improvisational rock and hazard to human and machine alike.

    • Velvet Fury - An all-girl Chicana/Mexicana Sacto band with sounds of surf/punk rockin you out in two languages.

    • Wyoming Band - Einstein says, "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler."
