| We here at Sacto_Undie would like to express our deep respect and admiration for the other people who work in other scenes to combat the domestic cultural imperialism which dominates our society. We realize there are other vibrant scenes right here in Sacramento which also struggle to provide soul and substance against a tidal wave of apathy and superficiality: the hip hop scene, the gospel scene, the modern jazz scene, the gospel scene, the blues scene, the salsa scene, the mariachi scene, the afrobeat scene, the gamelan orchestra scene, the Tuvan throat singing scene, the yodelling scene, the tamborine scene...we recognize and applaud all of their efforts. If we left out a particular scene (like for instance, the fiendish Scottish bagpipe scene), it is because they are obviously not down with the underground and are just a bunch of sorry sellouts. |
