Anonymous Coward says, "DEMENTIA called me to ask me to be their lead singer. (I must have put a singer/guitarist available ad with Profound Sound) The guy on the phone said they were "NOT a metal band," but an "agressive rock band." He talked a lot of smack about their singer. When I told him I was going bald, he lost interest right away. Some years following, they won the best METAL band SAMMIE. That night, Curt Cottrell got tossed into the drunk tank and saw that very same band. They moshed in their cell and every time a guard came by they would flash the devil horns and scream "METAL!" I have no idea if the SAMMIE-winning lineup included the singer that they wanted to replace."
